FAQs

  • Previous clients have described me as warm and approachable. In every session, I strive to offer my clients empathy for what they’re experiencing, education as to why they might be experiencing certain thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and encouragement to move towards their goals.

Clinically, I utilize Family Based Treatment, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

  • If you or your child is an adolescent or teen, I may recommend Family Based Treatment (FBT), also known as the Maudsley Method. FBT is an evidence based modality for the treatment of eating disorders in adolescents and teens. FBT involves the client’s adult caregivers in treatment to make treatment most effective and to limit the risk of relapse. It is important to note that FBT is not the same as general family therapy.
